Tito
Today I sat next to an elder Japanese man on the bus. He spoke to me in spanish "Buenos Diaz." I responded back, in spanish as well. He then begins to sing me an old Mexican Childs Lullaby. The ENTIRE song. Of course he's catching the attention of the entire bus now. I'm not sure yet if I'm amused or annoyed (how I have oh so man of those moments in San Francisco). Once he's finished, he proceeds to tell me how he just got out of jail in Mexico for not having his Passport with him. Unable to get back into the USA he hires a Coyote to bring him back. He made it safe with in a couple days. STUPID WALL. Point isnt really about the Billion dollar waste of money though. I'm thinking this story would be more appropriate next to my Mexican Border wall Image. Meeer... Nope.. Just by itself right here will be my little blog. And I will name him Tito. And I will Love him, and squeeze him, and we will be friends for ever and EVER.

When you wear those pretty dresses I forget the girl in you. Most recent shoot two days ago. Regrettably one of my few shoots I've done recently, in reaction to the replacement in attempting to educate myself beyond my beloved camera. Oh photoshop how I love you so. And you know you love me too! *Besos
Another one of San Francisco's fruits, the Presidio, was the chosen location. Some Army Barrack. The exact location has slipped my mind. You like it that much you go find it. I'm Just kidding, I'd tell you. If you buy me some chocolate. GOOD chocolate too. Dark Chocolate while we're on the subject.
Any who back to the subject I've become VERY fond of my dear Tilt Shift Lens (blur vs. Depth of field confusion some may have). This is the 24mm TSE. Shot digitally.
Hasta Luego!

adorar
Editing some old work and have been coming up on a few "in between shots" of some of my models. Some I think happen to be the strongest images. I know every photographer has these moments. Some shoot ONLY for those in between moments. Yet again, these images remind me why it's worth sitting back and admiring your surroundings. Besos todos.

Pin Me Up
The little one has always been a fan of Pin up Art. I'm definitely also a fan of Burlesque. You'll catch a quite a few images of my Burlesque friends up on my BLOG, considerably more than you will on the website. I've even been tempted to put together a little number myself. :)
Though my photo isn't quite your typical Pin-Up, the inspiration is still there. You'll see a pattern in my models' poses as well. This Image is most likely a beginning to a separate series. Image is shot Digitally against a white back drop. Model is flashed with a beauty disk, while wearing a white coat, loosing separation detail. I usually desaturate most my images. This image how ever is saturated to add pop.

*Kodak Film Grant*
Too much chocolate is excited to partner with Kodak in offering its first-ever film grant program, with submissions opening September 1st, 2009. This grant will provide 10 non-represented photographers with the film needed to execute a new or ongoing personal project, to be completed during 2010. This partnership aims to recognize strong project ideas from talented and emerging photographers, allowing them to fully realize a body of work that may not have been achieved otherwise. At the start of 2011, the recipients’ final projects will be brought together and exhibited through a variety of online, magazine, and gallery showcases.

Seeing Two
Image was shot last November.
Post was minimal, mostly using the masking tool. I had to enlarge the image to the left slightly because I placed the model a little too far from the camera.Image is desaturated and skin is smoothed out and whitened. Oh how I love pale skin!
Final touches include adding Eye liner to the model(s) and saturating the flowers so they pop more.
This image was shot around last november.
Post included mostly just simple masks to give the illusion of twins.
Mexican Wall
Shot this during my most recent El Paso, TX trip.
"A little-noticed study the research service released in December notes that even the $49 billion does not include the expense of acquiring private land along hundreds of miles of border or the cost of labor if the job is done by private contractors -- both of which could drive the price billions of dollars higher."

Image Numero UNO
Cocoon
It was time to simplify and calm the color palette to focus on the character.
Though she is very winsome, she is also powerful.
The ability to give birth I believe is one of our most beautiful gifts both given to woman kind, and that woman kind gives. My sister has recently given birth to my first niece, and to watch her transformation I think one of the most fascinating observations I've been allowed. If only I could have been with her to document her entire transformation. Though I think she'd probably tire of me. :p
